On 27th November 1295 the proclamation of Lancashire was bestowed by King Edward I at Westminster Palace.

Here is Andrew with Councillor Tony Beckett at the Lancashire Day celebration in Nelson. Andrew said, "Lancashire is such a great place and I am pleased that we celebrate this day every year. I am very proud to live here. There were stalls selling traditional Lancashire products. I bought a black pudding and some potato cakes."
